1. Iowa State vs. Kansas State

NateIowa State – Iowa State may do something Matt Cassel and the Chiefs can’t do in Arrowhead Stadium. Win.

MichaelIowa State – The Cyclones will break their second nagging streak in three weeks.

JakeIowa State – The Cyclones will bring a welcome but distant memory back to fans in Kansas City: a win from a team in red and yellow.

ChrisIowa State – I’m not drinking the red Kool-Aid yet, but a win against KSU in “Farm Aid 2009” is in the almanac.

KayciIowa State – The Cyclone offense is rolling. Look for them to keep that momentum against the Wildcats. Iowa State squeaks by with a field goal.

2. No. 4 LSU @ No. 18 Georgia

NateLSU – Even at home, Georgia won’t be able to stop the Tigers.

MichaelLSU – The Tigers’ four-point win over unranked Mississippi State helped them gain three sports in the polls. No. 1 after this week?

JakeLSU – LSU keeps on track for their mega-matchup with Florida next week.

ChrisGeorgia – I wouldn’t want to be an unwarranted SEC team in the Top 5 when I haven’t beaten anyone…

KayciLSU – Quarterback Jordan Jefferson will be too much for the Georgia defense.

3. No. 7 USC @ No. 24 California

NateUSC – Oregon’s 42-3 embarrassment of the Bears last week exposed Cal. as a pretender in contender costume.

MichaelUSC – The Trojans are still undefeated with Matt Barkley in the line-up.

JakeUSC – Cal.’s Best is good. Cal.’s best is not.

ChrisUSC – Barkley takes over Berkeley by bringing his best, not Best; or I really enjoy puns, and Cal. isn’t that good.

KayciUSC – Defense will shut down Cal.’s running back majorly.

4. No. 8 Oklahoma @ No. 17 Miami

NateOklahoma – Landry Jones and the Sooners can win this without Sam Bradford. At least Bradford will have his Heisman Trophy to keep him company on the sidelines.

MichaelOklahoma – If Sam Bradford is able to play, he will lead them back into title contention.

JakeOklahoma – Landry Jones has the reigns for his first big game as starter. It won’t matter.

ChrisOklahoma – Miami showed they weren’t worth the hype after the Va. Tech blowout, and the Land Shark isn’t the Orange Bowl.

KayciMiami – No Sam Bradford = big problem for Oklahoma.

5. No. 22 Michigan @ Michigan State

NateMichigan State – The Spartans are desperate. An emotional rivalry win puts MSU back on track.

MichaelMichigan – The Wolverines are a Forcier to be reckoned with in the Big 10.

JakeMichigan – Michigan leads the all-time series 64-28-5. If they’re not careful, it could get close here in a couple of years.

ChrisMichigan – Forcier for Heisman. Rich Rod for General Motors CEO. Sparty for Titanic captain.

KayciMichigan – A close defensive battle, but the Wolverines will run the ball all over the Spartans.

6. Wisconsin @ Minnesota

NateMinnesota – Paul Bunyan called. He wants his ax back.

MichaelWisconsin – The Badgers balanced offensive attack will keep Minnesota on its heels.

JakeWisconsin – Is it week five or six that the Badgers’ annual slide starts each season? I always forget.

ChrisMinnesota – When’s the first frost? The Gophers’ gold jerseys are meant for the ice, but they’ll outhit the Badgers anyway.

KayciMinnesota – I honestly have no idea about this pick, but Minnesota sounds better to me.

7. Texas A&M @ Arkansas (In Dallas)

NateTexas A&M – It will be all downhill for the Razorbacks after the opening kickoff hits the midfield scoreboard.

MichaelTexas A&M – Jerrod Johnson has been pretty good so far this year and I can’t name anybody that plays for Arkansas.

JakeArkansas – Bobby Petrino will lead his team to a rebound victory after last week’s loss to ‘Bama.  Or, he’ll quit at halftime. It’s always a crapshoot with that guy.

ChrisTexas A&M – A&M is known for solidarity, Bobby Petrino is known for mutinies. It’s the Aggies’ time to step and shine at Cowboys Stadium.

KayciArkansas – Ryan Mallett and the Razorbacks are coming off an embarrassing loss against Alabama. Look for Arkansas to get its stuff together and pull through for a victory.

8. UCLA @ Stanford

NateUCLA – What’s the Cardinal?

MichaelUCLA – Neither team is good, but Stanford is especially poor.

JakeUCLA – Stanford Cardinal: Great mascot? or greatest mascot?

ChrisStanford – He might wear John Elway’s jersey, but Cardinal running back Toby Gerhart is about tough football, not bankrupt AFL teams.

KayciUCLA – UCLA is making a comeback to be a contender in the PAC 10, and could win big against Stanford, which is riding high, maybe too high off its big win last week.

9. Auburn @ Tennessee

NateTennessee – Auburn rolled to a 4-0 record, but the streak comes to a halt in Knoxville.

MichaelAuburn – This will be a battle of two of the most respectable coaches in the SEC.

Jake – Tennessee – Auburn isn’t as good as advertised. I hope.

ChrisAuburn – It’s Ivan Drago vs. Tommy Gunn on the sidelines; Two villains in orange ready to tangle for mediocrity in the SEC.

KayciTennessee – I will pick any team, any time that plays Auburn.
