Congratulations to Daily writer Jason Miller [“Women’s squad takes on worldwide flair”] for recognizing that within ISU athletics the women’s golf team is a “good story.” As a member of the first ISU team — 1970 — I’m proud that my sport and my school are being represented by players from Iowa, Thailand, Belgium, Illinois, the Netherlands and Denmark; just as I’m proud that international and multicultural students now comprise 20 percent of Iowa State’s enrollment.
