Dear editor,

I’d like to begin by saying I do not consider myself to be politically inclined, so for me to write a letter of endorsement means I really believe in the candidate; and I believe Mike Miller is the best choice for the at-large seat on the Ames City Council.

Mike has already made a difference in our community through many years of service on numerous boards and commissions.

He is uniquely poised to take the next step by serving on our City Council. He has the experience and knowledge to make the difficult and important decisions facing our community.

I’ve worked with Mike for several years, as a volunteer with Ames Noon Kiwanis and the Ames community theater. Mike has shown an incredible dedication to whatever project he is responsible for and leads by example in both venues. If he is this committed to his volunteer positions, I can only imagine how he will perform in an elected capacity.

Mike is a positive and patient leader willing to do the right thing at the right time. He is committed to representing every citizen of Ames. He will listen to our suggestions and concerns. He will seek input and research options so he can make informed decisions. Mike is not about ideas; he is about actions. He has the energy and ability to make an impact.

We are fortunate to have a choice in this election, and every vote counts. Join me on Nov. 3, and “Make Your Mark for Mike Miller.”
