LETTERS: Seasons doesn’t live up to hype

The Daily’s article about the new Seasons dining center, “Freshly Seasoned Dining,” got me thinking. There is a lot I could say about the new dining center, but I will keep it brief.

Personally, I have met very few people who would say that “ISU Dining exceeded their expectations.” Linden gets busier every day as more and more people get fed up with Seasons. I also wonder if the reduction in food waste is actually because there are no trays, or because it takes 5 minutes of waiting in line (if you time it just right) to get a tiny plate of food at peak hours.

I also chuckled at the sentence, “Different neighborhoods were built, using different styles of floor, ceiling and chairs, to give diners the impression that they have more space.” It is an interesting choice of words, given that some nights at dinner, people have to sit on the floor because there is no space.
