The results of the Ames Community School Board elections were undecided by the time the paper was sent to the press Tuesday night.

According to the Story County Auditor’s Web site, unofficial results showed David Putz, of Ames, leading with 28.74 percent of the vote and incumbent Roy Cakerice  with 26.29 percent.

Mary Mosiman, Story County Auditor, said results of the vote were still pending from 10 precincts.

Results also showed 44.97 percent of the vote was cast for write-in candidates, but all of the write-in votes had not been counted by the time the paper was sent to the press.

Kevin Stow, of Ames, and Bill Talbot did run write-in campaigns for the seat.
