Saturday marks the day of the 39th annual Octagon Art Festival at the Main Street Cultural District from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival will feature more than 100 artists from eight Midwest states, including Mark Peterson, business graduate program coordinator. Peterson will showcase his nature photography at the festival.

The Emmy Award-winning group World Port will be among the other musical acts preforming throughout the day. ISU Orchesis 1 Dance Company will also be performing.

The Octagon Art Festival is Ames’ largest free art event. Last year, 14,000 visitors attended the festival, said Heather Johnson, Octagon Art Festival coordinator.
