LETTERS: University unfairly charges for future pay

Today I was frankly astonished to read that I was being pounded by an almost $1,000 charge on my U-bill. It read “Tuition-Eng Differential Nres.”

Later on I found out that this charge was for engineering students because they made more money after graduating.

Yes, I knew that and that is why I chose the major.

It is unfair to punish those who chose to study a harder subject in pursuit of a better life just to ‘even the playing field.’ In fact, why don’t they punish us all with higher tuition because we will be making more than non-college graduates?

Oh wait, they already do.
