Drivers can expect lane restrictions due to asphalt resurfacing at two locations on Grand Avenue beginning Sunday.

According to a press release from the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Des Moines construction office, overnight lane restrictions will be in effect Sunday nights through Friday mornings on Grand Avenue from Airport Road north to S. 16th Street. The project is expected to be completed by mid-November.

Intermittent lane restrictions will be in effect on Grand Avenue from 24th Street north to Bloomington Road. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2010.

No lane restrictions will be in place when workers are not present, according to the release.
