Businesses along Lincoln Way, between Grand and Duff Avenues, lost power at around 9:30 a.m. Monday. Crews had restored power to most of the affected businesses by 10 a.m., according to a press release.

The Iowa Department of Transportation facilities were among the affected businesses, and remained without power, as of 10:20 a.m., according to the release.

The outage also affected traffic signals in the area.

According to the release, Ames Electric Services staff identified the problem as “an open circuit breaker on an electrical distribution line.”
