Huxley stabbing victim in stable condition

A Huxley man who was stabbed Thursday night is now in stable condition at Mary Greeley Medical Center, 1111 Duff Ave., according to an Ames Police press release.
Nick Coffman, 21, of Huxley, was stabbed in the chest Thursday night during an altercation with another individual. Ames Police received a call at approximately 11:30 p.m. reporting that Coffman had been stabbed and a female was driving him to the hospital, according to the release.
Ames Police identified Mawea Koat, 22, of Ames as a suspect, and he was arrested and charged with going armed with intent and willfull injury. The investigation is ongoing.
