Freshman Jordon Andreassen’s third-place finish in the heptathlon highlighted Iowa State’s trip to the USA Junior Track and Field Championships this weekend in Eugene, Ore. Andreasson set five personal records with a 14.68 in the 100-meter hurdles, a 2:27.26 in the 800-meter run, a 25.95 in the 200-meter dash, 16 feet and 10 ¾ inches in the long jump and a 32-6 1/2 in the shot put. The sprinter’s 4,726 total points in the heptathlon is also a personal record.

The USA Junior Track and Field Championships closed out the track and field season for Iowa State.
