Union Drive

A portion of Union Drive near Welch Avenue will be closed for most of July due to road construction, according to a press release from Facilities Planning and Management.

Crews started maintenance work Monday on the southbound/eastbound lane to “re-surface street and repair subgrade cracks,” according to the release.

This lane will remain closed until work begins on the northbound/westbound lane July 13.

On July 23, both lanes will be closed for two days.

Bloomington Road

Bloomington Road will be closed, starting July 6, due to widening of the road and installation of a Union Pacific railroad crossing.

The construction will cause Bloomington to be closed from Eisenhower Avenue to Stange Road for about four weeks. The shared-use path on Bloomington will stay open during the project, according to a press release.
