CyRide has agreed, along with the city of Ames and other communities across the nation to go “Fare Free” this summer, according to the CyRide Web site.

From May 15 to Aug. 15, CyRide will offer free rides on every route.

If 10 percent of the community used CyRide over the summer, “over 3,800,000 pounds of CO2 could be kept out of the air!,” according to the Web site.
