Sarah Roddy, freshman in pre-advertising, took the first place spot thursday night in Veishea’s annual Cyclone Idol.

Roddy sang “Listen,” a Beyonce song from the movie “Dream Girls.”

Neil Hewitt, sophomore in agricultural studies, won the people’s choice award and also took second place in the competition. Hewitt sang an original song “Good Thing at a Bad Time.”

Julie Hallman, junior in dietetics, took third place with her rendition of Ray LaMontagne’s “Burn.”
