ISU wrestling coach Cael Sanderson is the leading candidate for the head coaching job at Penn State, WHO-TV reported late Thursday.

Sanderson has reportedly interviewed twice at Penn State.

Sanderson is the only collegiate wrestler in history to win four national championships while going undefeated at 159-0. He also won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics.

In three seasons at Iowa State, Sanderson has led the Cyclones to three straight Big 12 Championships.
