MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD: Cyclones prepare for final test before upcoming Drake Relays
April 8, 2009
The Cyclone men will once again be splitting up for different meets this weekend.
A few of the distance runners throwers, including Zac Brouillette, will head down Interstate 30 about a half an hour to compete in the Jim Duncan Invitational, the warm-up for the Drake Relays. Meanwhile the rest of the team will travel out to Arizona for the Sun Angel Track Classic and the Mesa Classic.
This weekend, Brouillette is looking to beat the school record for the hammer throw he set two weeks ago. Brouillette and freshman Luke Pinkelman will also look to continue their success in the shot put as they travel down to Des Moines this weekend.
The sprinters will go to Arizona hoping to continue the success they had at the Raleigh Relays two weeks ago in Tempe this weekend, and senior James Galvan will also look to improve his 800-meter run time as he runs Friday in Arizona.
