MEN’S BASKETBALL: Brackins names first-team All-Big 12

Sophomore forward Craig Brackins was named to the first-team All-Big 12 Conference team. He’s the first Cyclone to be named to the team since Jamaal Tinsley did so in the 2000-01 season.
Brackins was second in the league in scoring with 20.1 points-per-game and he was third in the conference in rebounding with 9.4 a game.
The sophomore from California scored 20 or more points in 11 of 16 conference games including a 42-point effort versus Kansas.
Also on the first-team are Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin, Kansas’s Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich, and Missouri’s DeMarre Carroll.
