March 25, 2009
If you think you can make a crowd laugh or entertain them with your musical abilities, now is the time to show Iowa State your talents.
Applications for Veishea Says I’m Funny and Cyclone Idol are due at 5 p.m. Friday in the Veishea office. Those interested must be an ISU student.
Veishea Says I’m Funny is a stand-up comedy event, and will be held at 10 p.m. on April 14. Cyclone Idol allows students to showcase their musical abilities, and will be held at 8 p.m. on April 16, with preliminary rounds on April 6, 8, and 9.
In both events, participants will be judged on presentation, which includes enthusiasm, stage presence, crowd response and attire. Audience response will help the judges decide the winners.
