Minimum tuition increase is most important issue to students
February 25, 2009
Results from a survey conducted by the Government of the Student Body show that the most important issue to students is keeping increases in tuition at a minimum.
Of the 15,000 students who responded, 71 percent said keeping increases down was the most important, according to the GSB Web site.
The survey also found that two-thirds of students who responded are in debt and 15.4 percent are in over $50,000 of debt.
According to a press release, the survey “suggests a lack of knowledge or apathy towards [GSB],” because most students replied that they had a neutral view of GSB.
GSB holds its weekly meetings at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.
