A state Senate sub-committee will consider a bill Thursday that would eliminate sales tax on textbooks.

The open meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Senate Lounge of the State Capitol in Des Moines.

Herman Quirmbach, state senator and associate professor of economics, authored the bill and also chairs the sub-committee considering the bill.
