Oklahoma State’s Andrea Riley dropped 32 points on Iowa State, contributing to 58 percent of her team’s 55-points in the Cowgirls loss against the Cyclones Saturday. The point total wasn’t even the junior guard’s season high – she scored a career high 35 points versus Southern on Dec. 19. Averaging 22.3 points per game, the hot-shooting Riley is the Big 12’s leading scorer by more than 70 points.
Highlight of the Week
Texas Tech’s upset victory over in-state rival No. 8 Texas.
The conference season got off to a rollicking start with the Red Raiders’ (10-4) used a last-second 3-pointer to pull off a 65-62 win against the eighth ranked Longhorns (12-3) Saturday, Jan. 10. Since losing four out of five games mid-way through their non-conference schedule, the Red Raiders have won five straight, including their all-important first conference win of the season.

Holding the distinction of the Big 12’s only undefeated squad, the Wildcats put their streak in jeopardy as they go up against Oklahoma, the conference’s preseason favorite to take home the league title. Don’t let Oklahoma’s two losses fool you _ they came at the hands of Connecticut and North Carolina, the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation.
