The University of Buffalo athletics department announced Tuesday that coach Turner Gill will stay at Buffalo, following a contract extension and increase in salary.

Buffalo did not release the terms of agreement.

Gill led Buffalo to an 8-5 record and Mid-American Conference championship in 2008, and will lead the Bulls into the International Bowl.
