After finishing only two spots out of last week’s AP top 25 poll, the ISU women’s basketball team tied with Xaiver for the 25 spot in the latest edition of the poll.

Connecticut retained the top spot in the poll, while North Carolina finished in second, 54 votes behind the Huskies. There are now six Big 12 teams ranked in the AP poll with No. 4 Oklahoma, No. 6 Baylor, No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 11 Texas, No. 18 Oklahoma State and No. 25 Iowa State.

Iowa State has started off the season 3-0 with wins against Missouri-Kansas City, Northern Iowa and Creighton. The Cyclones head to Hawaii this weekend for a trio of games at the Waikiki Mariott Classic, including a match-up against No. 5 Stanford.
