Editor’s Note: Assistant sports editor Nate Sandell has made Chris Conetzkey’s picks this week.

Iowa State @ Colorado

Corey: Colorado — Sadly, Iowa State’s next win probably won’t come until next season.

Luke: Iowa State — Cyclones earn a much-needed win against stumbling Buffaloes.

Matt: Colorado — Hopefully, Dan Hawkins will do something stupid again this year and cost his team the game again.

Nate: Colorado — Think of it this way: When the Cyclones lose, they can blame it on the altitude.

Penn State @ Iowa

Corey: Penn State — With all of the arrests in these two programs, you could probably field an all-star team.

Luke: Penn State — If the Hawkeyes slip up early, this one gets out of control.

Matt: Penn State — Iowa fans are planning a “blackout.” Too bad nothing will derail JoePa and his bunch in this one.

Nate: Penn State — The Nittany Lions’ quest to make the Bowl Championship Series title game a snooze fest will continue.

Kansas @ Nebraska

Corey: Kansas — Poor Nebraska, its blackshirt defense is more of a light gray this year.

Luke: Kansas — Husker “D” won’t hang with the Jayhawks.

Matt: Nebraska — Joe Ganz will torch the suspect Jayhawk defense in my upset special of the week.

Nate: Kansas — Nebraska is really bad. See first quarter of last week’s game.

Oklahoma @ Texas A&M

Corey: Oklahoma — The Aggies’ two-game winning streak will come to an end because they don’t play the Big 12 North.

Luke: Oklahoma — Another stat builder for Sam Bradford and the Sooners, who will close the regular season with Texas Tech and OSU.

Matt: Oklahoma — Bob Stoops is pissed about the BCS; expect him to run up the score to send a message in this one.

Nate: Oklahoma — Texas A&M may be on the rise, but the Sooners could care less.

Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech

Corey: Oklahoma State — Tech is still beat up from its thrilling win over Texas, while Okie State practically had a week off against Iowa State.

Luke: Oklahoma State — Red Raiders won’t be able to get up for two straight top 10 teams.

Matt: Oklahoma State — I wonder which coach will go on a profanity-laced tirade this season.

Nate: Texas Tech — Michael Crabtree will score a touchdown with a second left to defeat Tex… I mean OSU.

Alabama @ LSU

Corey: LSU — Nick Saban’s old team ruins his current team’s hope for a National Championship.

Luke: Alabama — Tigers’ only quality win was 4-5 at Auburn.

Matt: Alabama — The Tide continues to roll over a struggling Tiger defense.

Nate: Alabama — Daylight savings time may have ended, but not Daylight Saban time.

Kansas State @ Missouri

Corey: Missouri — Why did Kansas State give Ron Prince a contract extension?

Luke: Missouri — Distracted Wildcats will roll over Chase Daniel and the Tigers.

Matt: Missouri — Ron Prince will not enjoy his going away present from Chase Daniel and the Tigers.

Nate: Missouri —Despite the loss, Prince will enjoy the cake at his going away party, hosted by the Tigers.

California @ USC

Corey: USC — Cal has not been to a Rose Bowl since 1958 — the longest streak in both the Big 10 and the Pac-10.

Luke: USC — Trojans move back up BCS Standings with blowout.

Matt: USC — Somebody needs to give Pete Carroll some cheese to go with his whine about the BCS.

Nate: USC — The Trojans are looking forward to collecting roses during their winter vacation to… Southern California.

Baylor @ Texas

Corey: Texas — Gubbles, you do realize that Baylor has lost 10 straight games to Texas, don’t you?

Luke: Texas — Robert Griffin will throw his second pick of the season.

Matt: Baylor — The Bears find a way to win on the road.

Nate: Texas — Matt, just because Baylor beat Iowa State, doesn’t mean they are good.

Georgia Tech @ North Carolina

Corey: Georgia Tech — The three point shot will really help out the Jackets. Oh, wait, this is basketball, right?

Luke: North Carolina — The Tar Heels have too much talent returning from last year’s final four team.

Matt: Georgia Tech — Georgia Tech has won eight out of the last nine meetings between the two schools.

Nate: North Carolina —Tyler Hansbrough will get a bloody nose while sitting in the stands.
