ISU President Gregory Geoffroy began a 10-day trip to Asia on Thursday.

He will make stops in Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the Republic of China to recruit overseas students. His goal is to strengthen ties with alumni of Iowa State, as well as future students.

Geoffroy will visit eight Asian academic institutions, attend meetings with top administrators, alumni events and campus tours, and give an ISU biotechnology presentation.
