Jamie Straube (6-2, MB), Tecumseh, Neb.
Straube is the highest-ranked player ever to sign with Iowa State. Straube played at Johnson County Central, leading it to its first-ever state tournament this season. She was a three-time all-state pick, averaging 4.2 kills and 3.1 blocks per set in her career.
Alison Landwehr (6-0, S), Chesterfield, Mo.
Landwehr averaged 7.38 assists, 2.38 kills, 1.98 digs and 1.22 blocks as a senior for Parkway West High School. Landwehr was named first-team all-state her last two seasons and led her school to a fourth-place finish at the state tournament. She is also a finalist for Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year.
Hannah Johnson (6-3, MB), Ankeny
Johnson was recently named Elite all-state and Iowa Player of the Year by the Des Moines Register. Johnson led Ankeny High School to a state championship last week, averaging 2.4 kills and .65 blocks per set during her senior season.
Annie Meyer (5-7, L/DS), Plano, Texas
Meyer was named a 2007 Defensive Dandy by www.prepvolleyball.com for Canyon Creek Christian Academy. Meyer’s high school did not have volleyball until her junior season and she missed her senior season with an ACL injury. She was named first-team all-state in her only season, posting 512 digs.
