Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera will appear on Sunday’s final episode of MTV’s “Total Request Live.”

ABC’s “The Bachelor” and “Lost,” Fox’s “American Idol” and ABC Family’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and “Kyle XY” will begin new seasons in mid-January. Steven Spielberg and Will Smith are in discussions to remake the 2003 film “Oldboy” for DreamWorks.

A documentary about President-elect Barack Obama has been picked up by HBO. The documentary — produced by actor Edward Norton — follows the Illinois senator since 2006, before he announced a run for the presidency.

NBC show “Knight Rider” will drop three regulars — Bruce Davison, Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Yancey Arias — after its first 13 episodes finish to concentrate more on star Justin Bruening and KITT.

Comedy Central has renewed “Reno 911” for another season in 2009.

Director Joe Johnston will helm the comic book adaptation of “Captain America” due for release in 2011. No writer has been hired yet.

Will Smith is producing a remake of “The Karate Kid” for his son to star in. His son, Jaden, was seen in “The Pursuit of Happyness.”

Director Ridley Scott is to helm a film about the classic board game Monopoly. That’s right, Monopoly. The film is said to be a futuristic style similar to “Blade Runner.”

The late comedian George Carlin — famous for his “Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV” — was honored Monday with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, the only award he saw as a legitimate comedy prize.

“Made of Honor” actor Kevin McKidd will join the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” as a series regular.
