Former ISU football player Stevie Hicks was found dead today, lying on Interstate 480 near downtown Omaha.

Police are investigating the death but did not release details and did not give any ideas as to what might have happened.

Hicks, 25, was found about 8:30 a.m. on Interstate 480 under the bridges that form the I-480 and North Freeway interchange, police said, according to the Omaha World-Herald.

He was a running back at Iowa State, graduating last year. Hicks rushing for over 2,000 yards in his career.
