“Saturday Night Live” performer Amy Poehler won’t be returning to the show after giving birth last week to a son the day of the show. She is set to act in the upcoming spinoff of “The Office” later this season.
The six episodes of “Ugly Betty” actress Lindsay Lohan was scheduled to guest star has been trimmed to four. There are two sides on why the episodes were narrowed — one says she did not get along with people on set and left her dressing room in poor shape. Another says Lohan refused to be on set until “Betty” star, America Ferrera, was already there.
“Law & Order” will return on Nov. 5 rather than in January as originally scheduled. It will air in its traditional Wednesday timeslot at 9 p.m.
TV shows “Life” and “Lipstick Jungle” have flipped timeslots effective immediately. “Life” moves to Wednesday soon to be joined by “Law & Order” while “Lipstick” moves to Friday.
“The Cleaner” has been renewed for a second season by A&E.
CBS has pulled its new series “The Ex List” from its schedule effective immediately. There are no plans for it to return.
Starz network has lined up director Sam Raimi to bring the story of Spartacus to the small screen with an initial 13-episode order. The show will premiere in 2009.
The Howard Stern Rest Stop along I-195 in New Jersey has been shut down.
