LETTERS: Vote for experience, vote Biden
October 12, 2008
Being a first-time voter in a presidential election, I was insulted by John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate. Her experience in the last 10 years ranges from being a mayor of a small town of around 10,000 people, serving on a PTA board and being Alaska’s governor. It’s an insult to Obama and Biden’s record to say that she is more qualified for the position. Biden has served 36 years in the U.S. Senate and is the chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
We need the people who are planning to fix this country to actually be qualified for the position. Sens. Obama and Biden have showed in their record they are the ones who we need to lead this country. I am voting early for Barack Obama on campus at the Memorial Union on Tuesday, and I’m glad I won’t have to leave campus on Nov. 4.
