LETTERS: Vote for change, do it early

Eric Marsh

After eight years of George Bush, it’s extremely important that we bring some change to Washington this year. We need a president who makes decisions for the American people instead of his friends. The economy is out of hand, gas prices are high and the Constitution is only a vague memory. These issues affect everybody, but students tend to be profoundly impacted. A vote for Obama is a vote for change.

Voting early is one of the best ways that you can help get Obama elected. Not only will we already have votes in the bank, but you will also be free to volunteer on election day. Furthermore, the campaign won’t bother you with any more calls once you’ve early voted. Early voting will be held at several locations on campus and around Ames in the coming weeks. It’s fine if you haven’t registered to vote at your current address. You can register at the same time as you vote. It isn’t always needed, but for good measure, you should remember to bring a photo ID.

For information on locations and times, you can check www.voteforchange.com or call 877-420-8868.
