The Iowa State football team announced that they will play host to Navy at Jack Trice Stadium in 2018. This means that all three service academies will travel to Ames to take on the Cyclones in the next decade.

Iowa State will host Army in 2009 and Air Force in 2014.

Army and Navy have never played a game in the state of Iowa before. Air Force came to Ames in 1975 and lost to Iowa State 17-12.

The Cyclones has never faced Navy before but they have played Army twice, both times on the road, the last coming in 2005.
