“Tropic Thunder” star Nick Nolte was injured in a fire at his home in Malibu, Calif., Tuesday. The fire began around 11:30 a.m. and Nolte suffered smoke inhalation and abrasions because he attempted to extinguish the fire himself.

“Californication” star David Duchovny checked out of rehab for sex addiction. He entered rehab in late August.

House Peters, Jr., a TV actor who became the original Mr. Clean in Procter & Gamble commercials died last week at 92 years.

Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Berkeley Breathed will retire his long running comic strip “Opus” on Nov. 2.
