Jason Priestly, star of the ‘90s show, “Beverly Hills, 90210,” will return to the zip code to direct an episode of “90210” later this season. Shannen Doherty is considering reprising her role as Brenda Walsh. She will play a theater actress in the new show and portrayed Priestly’s sister in the original series.
“10 Things I Hate About You” has gotten the greenlight by ABC Family for a half-hour TV show adaptation. The series will focus on the sisters Kat and Bianca Stratford from the movie.
“Boston Legal” is in its final season this year. Creator David E. Kelley is currently developing a new show — and like “Ally McBeal,” “Boston Legal” and “The Practice,” it’s about attorneys.
FX Network has canceled its series “The Riches.”
Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter will appear in Tim Burton’s upcoming movie “Alice in Wonderland.” Reports say Hathaway will play the White Queen and Carter will be the Red Queen.
New FX series “Sons of Anarchy” will return for a second season. The series has averaged 5.4 million viewers.
HBO series “Entourage” has been renewed for another season.
Five Hollywood studios have agreed to help pay for a $1 billion-plus rollout of digital technology on about 20,000 movie screens in North America, a precursor to showing more movies in 3-D. The rollout in the U.S. and Canada, covering about half of all screens, is planned to start early next year.
