DAVENPORT (AP) — Republican presidential nominee John McCain will campaign in Davenport on Saturday, his third swing through Iowa since he claimed the GOP nomination.

McCain will hold a rally at an event center in Davenport along the Mississippi River.

Polls have shown Democrat Barack Obama with a lead in the state, in some cases by double digits, but McCain’s aides say he’s going to continue to contest the state.

McCain Iowa spokesman Wendy Riemann says McCain is committed to “keeping Iowa a red state.”
