The ISU soccer team picked up its first win of the season Friday, defeating the DePaul Blue Demons 3-1 on the road.

DePaul struck first, with a goal less than 10 minutes into the game. But in the closing minutes of the first half the Cyclones evened the score, as freshman Laura Wooster put the ball past the Blue Demon keeper.

In the second half it was all Cyclones.

During the 65th minute, defender Lauren Fader found the back of the net, recording her first goal of the season. Elise Reid also added a goal of her own, sealing the win for Iowa State.

The Cyclones take the pitch again on Sunday with a 3 p.m. match-up against in-state rival Northern Iowa.
