LETTERS: Worship alternative encourages growth

Andrew Severin

I agree with Garret Skaar and Jordan Adams that there is a lot of corruption today in the Christian society and that there is a lot of confusion about the role religion has in society today. There is however, a group on campus that strives to understand religion from a spiritual rather than dogmatic approach. Unlike other organizations, they do not claim to know everything or tell you what to believe. They encourage growth through critical thinking, respect and love. Although I am not an organizer of AAS events, I am a regular member and strong encourager of critical thinking, respect and love.

I invite both of you and Sophie Prell, along with anyone else who is interested in learning more about the values of the life you live now and critical thinking to protect you and your children, to come on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. to MU Room 3219 to learn and grow into what it means to live life to the fullest by making the world a better place for all. Everyone is welcome, I only ask in the spirit of making the world more harmonious to come with an open mind and open heart.

Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] with questions.
