Johnson ejected

True freshman cornerback Leonard Johnson was ejected just over 10 minutes into Saturday’s 31-28 overtime loss to UNLV.

Johnson was called for a flagrant foul after leveling UNLV quarterback Omar Clayton in the end zone. While Clayton was decelerating and running out of bounds, Johnson unleashed a hard shoulder check on the 19-year-old sophomore.

Clayton remained face-first on the ground momentarily but returned on the next series.

Johnson received a personal foul earlier in the same possession for engaging in contact after the play was dead.
