To me, awareness for sexual assault is very important. I believe it’s important for people to know what it is, and also know that it isn’t just rape. It’s important for everyone to know the lifetime of physical, emotional and mental issues that follow a sexual assault. I would wear denim on Denim Day to show those who were sexually assaulted they aren’t alone. They shouldn’t be ashamed for what happened to them and they are surrounded by a sea of people that see them for who they are. I think it’s a great way to raise awareness for sexual assault.
