Cyclones lose against Texas A&M 69-51

The ISU men’s basketball team hung tough for a half, but in the end No. 18 Texas A&M’s balanced scoring proved too much.

The Aggies had six players score at least eight points, led by forward Bryan Davis with 16. Center Jiri Hubalek led all scorers with 18.

Iowa State was only down six, 30-24, at half time, but a 31-9 run that spanned the break put the Aggies out of reach.

Guard Wesley Johnson, playing with a sore ankle for the first time in a week, scored 13 points for Iowa State.

The loss drops the Cyclones to 3-5 in the Big 12 and 13-10 overall. Texas A&M improves to 5-3 in the conference and 19-4 overall.
