Nominations for the Academy Awards

The nominations for the 80th Annual Academy Awards were announced early Tuesday morning by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis and Oscar winner Kathy Bates.

The winners of the previously announced Scientific and Technical Academy Awards will be presented their awards on Feb. 9. The award show for the 80th Academy Awards will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and televised on ABC. 9.
