MU finances in next 5 years slightly shaky

Questions of raising awareness arise with the outside of the building, as well. The board is investigating adding signage to the exterior of the Union to help advertise for events, while keeping the aesthetics of the university intact.
President of the Graduate and Professional Student Senate Brian Olechnowski, graduate student in ecology, evolution and organismal biology, gave one sign choice.
“One option we could consider is a one-color electronic sign with a changeable, nonelectronic element below it,” Olechnowski said. “We decided that, if we place the sign on the north side of the union, it would destroy the aesthetics of that side of the building.”
Finally, the board discussed the hotel. It concluded the other financial issues were more important and that the status of the hotel could be considered later.
Government of the Student Body President Brian Phillips, senior in political science, was first to recommend the board focus its priorities elsewhere.
“I think we should keep exploring our options,” Phillips said.
