The ISU volleyball team’s first round match of the NCAA Tournament against San Diego was not short of drama.

In a match with gut-wrenching rallies and unbelievable comebacks, the Cyclones used another late rally to overcome the Toreros 3-2 (25-30, 31-29, 30-19, 24-30, 16-14).

Iowa State was down 13-10 in game five but won six of the last seven points to advance to play the winner of Wisconsin and UNI.

Redshirt freshman Victoria Henson and senior Lauren Cummings led Iowa State with 18 kills.
