September 4, 2007
PELLA — Pella Corporation has announced that it has acquired EFCO, a Missouri-based maker of storefront windows.
Pella, Iowa’s largest window manufacturer, makes commercial window and door products, but its focus is primarily residential construction.
EFCO, which makes aluminum-clad store front windows, glass curtain walls and other products for commercial buildings, has about 1,600 employees at its plant in Monett, Mo. It will retain its brand name as a unit of Pella.
The addition of EFCO will increase Pella’s employment to more than 10,600. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
