Iowa Hawkeye senior long snapper Clint Huntrods was dismissed from the team Wednesday after being charged with a number of offenses last Thursday, Iowa officials said.

Huntrods was charged with interference with official acts, public intoxication, and urination in public. Huntrods attempted to run away from the police after being spotted urinating on a sidewalk, according to a police report. Huntrods reportedly had poor balance, red watery eyes and slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol.

University of Iowa officials said Huntrods was dismissed for violating team rules. Huntrods, from Collins, handled all snaps on points after touchdowns and field goals.
