Sept. 20

Criminal mischief, Lot 63 (reported at 6:13 p.m.). Brittany Schone reported damage to a vehicle windshield. The incident occurred sometime after Sept. 16.

Impounded property, Memorial Union (reported at 8:24 p.m.). An improperly secured bike was placed into secure storage until the owner can be identified.

Criminal mischief, Memorial Union (reported at 8:34 p.m.). A staff member reported damage to a cement ash tray.

Sept. 21

OWI, Mortensen Road and Seagrave Boulevard (reported at 2:42 a.m.). Jodie Veale, 22, 155 Fountain View Drive, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.

Traffic collision, Memorial Union Ramp (reported at 11:49 a.m.). A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Divinity Roberts.

Assault, Coover Hall (reported at 1:56 p.m.). A student reported being assaulted by an acquaintance.

Impounded property, Coover Hall (reported at 1:13 p.m.). A bicycle that had been reported as stolen was impounded.

Assault, Willow Hall (reported at 9:49 p.m.). A resident reported being assaulted by an acquaintance.

Alcohol violation, Lot 63 (reported at 11:07 p.m.). Shaun Cornelius, 18, of Schleswig, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.

Sept. 22

Theft, 200 block of Stanton Avenue (reported at 12:24a.m.). A stolen sign was found in an apartment. The investigation is continuing.

Alcohol violation, 300 block of Hyland Avenue (reported at 12:59 a.m.). Brian Cole, 20, 4231 Frederiksen Court, and Jarryd Anderson, 19, 127 Stanton Ave. #6, were cited for underage possession of alcohol.

Burglary, Lot 85E (reported at 1:48 a.m.). An officer on patrol observed suspicious activity. Follow-up investigation revealed several car burglaries had occurred. Mario Herrera, 18, of Marshalltown, was arrested and charged with burglary in the third degree and theft in the fourth degree. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center. Four male youths, also from Marshalltown, were taken into custody and charged with burglary and theft. They were referred to Juvenile Court Services and released to the custody of parents.

Theft, Linden Hall (reported at 12:11 p.m.). Two residents reported the theft of items from their room.

Traffic collision, Osborn Drive (reported at 5:35 p.m.). A vehicle driven by Sunhee Park collided with a bicycle operated by Robert Secor.

Sept. 23

Criminal mischief, Memorial Union Ramp (reported at 12:47 a.m.). A staff member reported damage to a gate arm.

OWI, Franklin Avenue and Lincoln Way (reported at 1:37 a.m.). Jeff Steines, 29, 2322 Hayes Ave., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

Public intoxication, 2400 block of Chamberlain Street (reported at 1:52 a.m.). Michael Duitscher, 21, 2104 Buchanan Hall, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

OWI, 2700 block of Lincoln Way (reported at 4:58 a.m.). Benjamin Weir, 19, of Indianola, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

Criminal mischief, Lot 63 (reported at 10:02 a.m.). Ben Jensen reported damage to a vehicle windshield.

Burglary, Lot 61 (reported at 10:19 a.m.). An officer on patrol observed damage to a vehicle window and a stereo missing from the passenger compartment.

Traffic collision, Beach Avenue and Lincoln Way (reported at 11:52 a.m.). Vehicles driven by Paul Letsche and Gregory Kelling were involved in a property damage collision.
