The Maintenance Shop in the Memorial Union started filling up around 8 p.m., although most of the contestants were designing at 8 a.m. that day. The eight teams composed of ISU students stitched, sewed and designed until the judging started at 6 p.m. Styles of the various outfits included dresses dedicated to death, fire and ice, femininity, and the ’80s. The winning team, Stitchery Doo, will be featured in a spread for the ISU fashion magazine Trend.
