The athletic department announced Monday that Iowa State’s new football helmet will be unveiled Wednesday, as well as drawings of the home and road uniforms and a new graphics identity.

Athletic Director Jamie Pollard will make the announcement at a 1 p.m. press conference. A free live webcast will be available on www.cyclones.com.

More than 35,000 votes were cast by the public for the three final designs that were shared with the public in August.

“I believe the most important message from this process is that we listened to our fan base,” Pollard said in a press release. “We felt that asking for input from our fan base was critical, unique and in this case, very helpful.”
