Health care, education reform overdue, Cox says

One candidate at the straw poll claims to be the ideal “anti-Hillary.”

“I have had enough of career politicians who tell you one thing and then go to Washington and do something completely different,” said John Cox, Republican presidential candidate.

Cox spoke at Hilton Coliseum on Aug. 11. Cox said his experience with business, not politics, helps his campaign.

“I’m not a celebrity; I’m not a congressman. I’m one of you,” he said.

He said he has proved in business that he can get jobs done.

“I want results. I want solutions for these problems. Lets send a message that we want something better, that we are tired of the empty promises,” Cox said.

Cox stressed his stances on education, the tax system and health care – that No Child Left Behind should be repealed, the tax system should be replaces with the FairTax, and the health care system should be less expensive.

“We are in a life and death struggle with Islamic fascism and we have to win that,” Cox said. “I’ll be a president with a mission for change. I have an agenda for results.”
