Young and old alike flooded the streets of downtown Ames on Wednesday for its annual Fourth of July parade. Former WHO newscaster Jack Shelley led the parade as grand marshal, and the parade included many prominent figures such as Ames Mayor Ann Campbell, city councilman Matthew Goodman, and Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
